Police searched Friday for the man who stabbed and critically wounded two people in Anaheim.
A 32-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman were critically wounded in Thursday night’s blood-soaked stabbings, which occurred within a block from each other, leading Anaheim Police to believe the incidents are related.
There was no word of a possible motive for the attacks.
Officers were asked at 7:59 p.m. Thursday to respond to a shooting in the 1100 block West Ball Road, said Police Sgt. Daron Wyatt. Responding officers discovered the man actually was suffering from a stab wound.
Two minutes later, officers were asked to respond to a stabbing in front of the Holiday Inn in the 1200 block of South Walnut Street, where a 30-year- old woman was stabbed.
Both victims were taken to hospitals, Wyatt said.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic man of between 20 and 30, weighing 220 to 240 pounds and wearing dark jeans and a hoodie.
While the incident occurred near the Disneyland Resort, it was not linked to the resort, which was not affected in any way, Wyatt said.
Anyone with information regarding the incident was urged to contact Crime Stoppers at (855) TIP-OCCS or, by email, at occrimestoppers.org.
