A new House of Blues venue in Anaheim will open in March, officials said Monday.

House of Blues, which was previously located in downtown Disney, will reopen in the Anaheim GardenWalk entertainment and shopping center at 400 Disney Way.

The new House of Blues venue will kick off the company’s 25th anniversary. The first House of Blues opened in November 1992 in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

“House of Blues Anaheim will embrace our same familiar rock `n’ roll vibe with contemporary flourishes that ensures our musical, culinary and sensory experience fits future generations while solidly representing our historic roots,” said House of Blues Entertainment President Ron Bension. “The venue pays homage to the past 25 years and celebrates the next 25 to come.”

The new Anaheim concert hall and restaurant will be 44,000 square feet, which is twice as big as its previous location. The main concert hall can accommodate 2,200 guests.

Within the new House of Blues will be another space, dubbed “The Parish,” which will offer shows for up to 400 concertgoers.

“No venue has ever combined all of this under one roof,” Bension said. “Some nights will have four bands playing in four separate performance spaces at the same time. It will truly be a 4-D live music entertainment experience.”

In mid-November, tickets will go on sale for shows.
