A motorist crashed his car into a tree near in Fullerton and was seriously injured Sunday.

The motorist was driving a silver 2006 Honda S2000 convertible southbound on Harbor Boulevard, just south of Santa Fe Avenue, and drove into the center median and smashed into a tree, according to Fullerton police Sgt. Jon Radus.

Police were dispatched to the scene at 2:09 a.m. and reported that no other vehicles were involved in the crash, Radus said. Paramedics rushed the motorist, the sole occupant inside the Honda, to UC Irvine Medical Center with serious injuries.

The Fullerton Police Department‘s Traffic Bureau asked anyone with any information regarding the crash to call them at (714) 738-6810.
