Police Sunday hunted a Garden Grove bank robber who presented a note to a teller demanding money and indicating he had a firearm, authorities said.
After the robber received $1,000, he calmly strolled out of the bank and was last seen walking down a sidewalk.
It happened at about 10 a.m. Saturday at the Chase Bank at 11922 Brookhurst St., Garden Grove police Sgt. Michael Viscomi said.
“The teller retrieved $1,000 in $100 bills and gave the currency to the suspect along with the note the suspect demanded back,” Viscomi said. “The suspect exited the bank and was last seen on foot. No vehicle was seen.”
Garden Grove police and the FBI were investigating the robbery.
