A suspected carjacker was in custody Saturday but his accomplice was still being sought following a search that shut down an Anaheim neighborhood.
Anaheim Police said they began a search for the two suspects who fled in the stolen vehicle at 10:30 p.m. Friday in the area of Ball Road and Gilbuck Drive.
Ground units, police dogs and a helicopter were used in the search as residents were encouraged to shelter in place, police said.
Just before midnight police announced one of the suspects was in custody but his name was not released. A description for the other suspect was not available.
No other details about the carjacking, suspects or the victim were available.
