An 18-month-old boy sustained minor injuries Wednesday when his babysitter accidentally struck him with a car at an Anaheim car wash, police said.
The babysitter took the toddler out of the car and put him in a stroller just before 10:45 a.m. at the Daytona Car Wash at 216 Euclid St., then got back into the vehicle to maneuver it into the car wash without realizing that the child had been kicking his feet and rolled behind the vehicle, according to Anaheim police Sgt. Daron Wyatt.
The car, which was moving at a low rate of speed, knocked the boy out of the stroller and he sustained cuts that were not considered life-threatening, Wyatt said.
