A 26-year-old San Clemente man was sentenced in Santa Ana to 70 years in prison “for continuously sexually abusing four boys under 14 years old,” officials said.
Uriel Ruiz Ricardez must also register as a registered sex offender for the rest of his life, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
Prosecutors say he was an acquaintance of the victims’ families at the time the crimes were committed between August 2014 and September 2015.
Ricardez committed lewd acts upon four boys under 14 years old on several occasions, according to the district attorney’s office Thursday.
The parents of a 13-year-old boy and those of a 12-year-old boy reported the crimes to the sheriff’s department, which investigated and arrested Ricardez on Sept. 10, 2015, officials said.
Two other victims, both 11, were identified during the investigation following Ricardez’s arrest, according to the District Attorney’s Office.
