A man was shot and wounded Monday in a drainage ditch in Anaheim, authorities said.
The shooting occurred about 12:20 a.m. near North Euclid Street and the Santa Ana (5) Freeway, Anaheim police Officer A. Hernandez said.
The man was shot in one leg, Hernandez said. He didn’t recognize the suspect.
The gunman fled the scene and a search of the area was unavailing, the officer said.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment, he said.
The suspect set at least one fire in the drainage ditch while fleeing, according to a news videographer at the scene.
