Two motorcyclists were involved in a crash in unincorporated South Whittier, where one of them was killed and the other injured, authorities said Monday.
The crash was reported at 8:32 p.m. Sunday at Mills Avenue and Close Street, California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball said.
One motorcyclist, a 30-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene, Kimball said. The other motorcyclist was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange in unknown condition.
Details of the crash were not immediately available, including whether other vehicles were involved, he said.
