The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Tuesday for the 22nd consecutive day, decreasing four-tenths of a cent to $3.676.
The average price has dropped 8.5 cents over the past 22 days, including two-tenths of a cent on Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The streak of decreases is the longest since a 27-day run from Nov. 25-Dec. 21.
The average price is 3.5 cents less than one week ago and 8.8 cents lower than one month ago, but 73.3 cents higher than one year ago. It has risen 52.6 cents since the start of the year.
The Orange County average price dropped Tuesday for 17th consecutive day and 23rd time in the past 24 days, decreasing seven-tenths of a cent to $3.628. It has dropped 9.8 cents over the past 24 days, including one-tenth of a cent on both Sunday and Monday.
The Orange County average price is 4.7 cents less than one week ago and 10.5 cents lower than one month ago, but 71.6 cents higher than one year ago. It has risen 51.2 cents since the start of the year.
