The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped one-tenth of a cent Thursday to $3.67, one day after rising three-tenths of a cent.

The average price is a half-cent more than one week ago, 4.3 cents higher than one month ago and 47.8 cents greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has risen 52 cents since the start of the year because of higher oil prices.

The Orange County average price was unchanged, remaining at $3.612, one day after rising one-tenth of a cent. It is nine-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, 4.4 cents higher than one month ago and 43.7 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 49.7 cents since the start of the year.
