The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose two-tenths of a cent Tuesday to $3.331, one day after a 10-day streak of increases ended with a decrease of three-tenths of a cent.
The average price rose 7.4 cents during the streak, which followed an eight-day streak of decreases totaling 5 cents that dropped the average price to its lowest amount since Jan. 20, 2018, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 3 cents more than one week ago and 2.2 cents higher than one month ago but 10.9 cents lower than one year ago.
The Orange County average price rose three-tenths of a cent to $3.298, after dropping three-tenths of a cent on Monday and two-tenths of a cent on Sunday following eight increases in nine days totaling 7.3 cents.
The Orange County average price is 1.6 cents more than one week ago and 3.2 cents higher than one month ago but 10.9 cents lower than one year ago.
