The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County slightly rose Sunday for the third time in 61 days, increasing three-tenths of a cent to $3.608.
The average price decreased for 53 consecutive days, rose one-tenth of a cent last Sunday and two-tenths of a cent Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It dropped 1 cent Friday to its lowest amount since Aug. 30.
The average price is 1.5 cents less than one week ago and 18.1 cents lower than one month ago but 25.1 cents more than one year ago.
The Orange County average price rose two-tenths of a cent to $3.536, one day after dropping two-tenths of a cent to its lowest amount since March 25. The slight increase was the fourth in the past 62 days. It also rose one-tenth of a cent last Sunday and two-tenths of a cent on both Monday and Thursday.
The Orange County average price is 1 cent less than one week ago and 17.6 cents lower than one month ago but 22 cents more than one year ago.
