A run of seven decreases in eight days that dropped the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County to its lowest amount since Aug. 29 ended Wednesday with an increase of three-tenths of a cent to $3.582.

The average price decreased 2 cents over the previous eight days, including six-tenths of a cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It dropped six consecutive days before being unchanged on Monday.

The average price is 1.2 cents less than one week ago and 2.6 cents lower than one month ago but 28.1 cents more than one year ago.

The Orange County average price rose two-tenths of a cent to $3.529, also after dropping seven of the previous eight days. It is 1 cent less than one week ago and seven-tenths of a cent lower than one month ago but 24.7 cents higher than a year ago.
