One person was killed Thursday when a vehicle crashed off the side of southbound SR110 in South Pasadena, hit a tree and caught fire, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 4:15 a.m. at the Orange Grove Avenue offramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Information was not immediately available on the identity of the motorist, who died at the scene.
The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
