A brushfire broke out Friday afternoon in Hacienda Heights, but fire crews stopped the blaze’s spread without any damage to structures.
The fire was reported shortly before 3 p.m. in the 14700 block of West Orange Grove Avenue, near the Hacienda Hills trailhead, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, which called in a second-alarm response to protect nearby homes.
Firefighters stopped the blaze’s spread shortly after 5 p.m., when the fire had grown to about seven or eight acres and was 15% contained, the fire department reported.
No injuries were reported.
