A 50-acre wildfire broke out Monday southwest of Silverado in the Santa Mountains Orange County Monday.
Cal Fire said the blaze started ay 6:47 a.m. in the area of Santiago Canyon and Silverado Canyon roads. Orange County Fire Authority firefighters reached the scene when the fire was at 10 acres, but it grew because of strong Santa Ana Winds.
Crews are “aggressively attacking the fire with air units en route,” an OCFA spokesman said.
