The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose three-tenths of a cent Friday to $3.155 after changing by one-tenth of a cent or being unchanged for six consecutive days.

The price is two-tenths of a cent more than one week ago but one-tenth of a penny less than one month ago and 56.1 cents lower than a year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped 46 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price rose one-tenth of a cent to $3.129 one day after remaining unchanged. It is one-tenth of a cent less than one week ago and 50.1 cents lower than one year ago but 1 cent more than one month ago. The Orange County average price has dropped 41.6 cents since the start of the year.
