At least one person was reported killed when a pickup truck crashed into the center divider of the Santa Ana (5) Freeway in Santa Ana.
The crash was reported at 4:24 a.m. on the southbound Santa Ana Freeway at the Garden Grove (22) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A witness told the CHP the white pickup truck spun out, hit the wall multiple times and remained in the HOV lane.
The Orange County coroner’s office was called to the scene at 4:49 a.m., the CHP said.
The CHP issued a SigAlert at 4:37 for the HOV lane of the southbound Santa Ana Freeway at the 22 but the other lanes remained open.
