A motorist killed when his vehicle crashed on Interstate 15 in Corona and rolled down an embankment was identified Tuesday as a 29-year-old Garden Grove man.
Bianey Ramos was fatally injured at about 9:55 p.m. Sunday on northbound I-15 at Campbell Ranch Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officer Juan Quintero said Ramos was at the wheel of a sedan passing Indian Truck Trail when he abruptly “lost control and collided with an adjacent center median guardrail.
“The force of the collision caused the vehicle to overturn and roll down the dirt median between the northbound and southbound lanes of I-15,” Quintero said. “The vehicle came to rest on its roof on Campbell Ranch Road, under the freeway.”
Corona Fire Department paramedics reached the location within 10 minutes and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved.
Anyone with information about the accident was asked to contact the CHP Riverside office at 951-637-8000.
