An outage knocked out power to more than 300 Imperial Irrigation District customers in the La Quinta area Wednesday, but most had their electricity restored within two hours.
The utility alerted the public shortly at 9:41 a.m. Wednesday that customers in La Quinta were experiencing a power outage.
Power was restored to 298 customers shortly before 11 a.m., but 19 customers in the area of Congressional and Riviera were still without power, according to IID officials. Power was restored to all customers by 11:54 a.m.
IID officials encouraged customers who were still experiencing issues to check their main breaker or call the utility at 800-303-7756.
The IID provides electricity to more than 150,000 customers in parts of Riverside and San Diego counties, and all of Imperial County.
