The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped one-tenth of a cent Monday to $4.61, a day after it was unchanged.
The average price is unchanged from a week ago, 4.1 cents more than one month ago, but $1.121 less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.884 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price dropped two-tenths of a cent to $4.535, a day after dropping three-tenths of a cent. It is unchanged from a week ago, 3.6 cents more than one month ago, but $1.168 less than one year ago. The Orange County average price has dropped $1.924 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped one-tenth of a cent to $3.208, a day after dropping eight-tenths of a cent. It was the 30th decrease in the past 31 days.
It is 6.2 cents less than one week ago, 22.5 cents less than one month ago and 66.3 cents less than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.808 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
