The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose one-tenth of a cent Sunday for the second consecutive day to $4.559, after dropping to its lowest amount since Aug. 24.
The average price is 2.2 cents less than one week ago, 1.9 cents lower than one month ago and $1.756 less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.935 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price dropped for the fourth consecutive day, decreasing three-tents of a cent to $4.485, its lowest amount since Aug. 23. It is 2.3 cents less than one week ago, 2 cents lower than one month ago and $1.803 less than one year ago. The Orange County average price has dropped $1.974 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped two-tenths of a cent to $3.218, one day after a decrease of three-tenths of a cent ended a streak of four consecutive increases totaling 1.5 cents. It is 1 cent more than one week ago, but 14.3 cents less than one month ago and 61.4 cents lower than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.798 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
