The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Sunday for the ninth time in the last 10 days, increasing six-tenths of a cent to $4.601.
The average price is 2.9 cents more than one week ago, but 1.1 cents less than one month ago and $1.244 less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.893 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price rose two-tenths of a cent to $4.534. It is nine-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, but nine-tenths of a cent less than one month ago and $1.116 less than one year ago. The Orange County average price has dropped $1.925 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped for the third consecutive day following a four-day streak of increases, decreasing three-tenths of a cent to $3.201. It is 2.8 cents more than one week ago, but 2.9 cents less than one month ago and 42.7 cents less than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.815 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
