Light rain is expected in the Los Angeles and Orange County area Sunday night and Monday, forecasters said Saturday.
The rain could begin falling as early as 6 p.m. Sunday in some areas of northern LA County, according the National Weather Service.
“Rain chances for Sun-Mon have increased. Expect several hours of light rain, with light totals and minor impacts. No major flooding or debris flow threats,” the NWS’ Los Angeles-area office posted Saturday on X. “Further out, rain chances and amount potential for Wed-Fri (Apr 2-4) have decreased a lot.”
Rainfall totals across the Southland will likely be less than a quarter-inch, with higher totals possible in the San Gabriel and Santa Monica Mountains, forecasters said.
Snow levels will be quite high, with none expected below 7,000 feet.
Daytime and nighttime temperatures will be mild throughout the week, with highs generally in the 60s and most overnight temperatures in the 40s and lower 50s.
