Authorities sought the public’s assistance Wednesday in locating a 76-year-old woman last seen in the Mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles, prompting the issuance of a Silver Alert.
Jean Cross was last seen around 11 a.m. Tuesday near South Harcourt Avenue and West 21st Street, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Cross was described as a 5-foot-2-inch-tall woman weighing 150 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink head wrap, a light blue shirt, orange pants, multi-colored socks, and black shoes.
Anyone with information regarding Cross’s whereabouts was urged to call 911.
The CHP established the Silver Alert program to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled, or cognitively impaired individuals.
