The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Sunday to its highest amount since July 2, increasing 1.7 cents to $4.569.

The average price has risen five consecutive days, increasing 9.3 cents, including 2.8 cents Saturday and 3.5 cents Friday, its largest increase since April 1, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 9 cents more than one week ago and one month ago and nine-tenths of a cent higher than one year ago. It has dropped $1.924 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price rose to its highest amount since June 26, increasing 1 cent to $4.544. It has risen four consecutive days, increasing 10.1 cents, including 3 cents Saturday and 4.1 cents Friday, its largest increase since April 1

The Orange County average price is 9.6 cents more than one week ago, 11.8 cents higher than one month ago and 5.5 cents above what it was one year ago. It has dropped $1.914 since rising to a record $6.458 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price rose for the fifth consecutive day, increasing four-tenths of a cent to $3.153. It has risen 2.3 cents over the past five days, including eight-tenths of a cent Saturday. The increases follow a five-day streak of decreases totaling 3 cents.

The national average price is 1.5 cents more than one week ago but nine-tenths of a cent less than one month ago and 20.7 cents lower than one year ago. It has dropped $1.863 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
