A 55-year-old pleaded guilty and was sentenced to more than four years behind bars this week for crashing into a Fullerton home and leaving the scene, according to court records obtained Friday.

Henry James Woodley pleaded guilty Monday to failing to stop at a hit-and-run with injury and driving under the influence of a drug causing injury, both felonies, as well as a misdemeanor count of possessing drug paraphernalia. He also admitted a sentencing enhancement for inflicting great bodily injury on the victim.

Woodley was sentenced to four years and four months in jail. On Monday, he had 624 days credit behind bars.

Woodley was behind the wheel of a Toyota Tundra that veered off the road and slammed into a home at 506 W. Wilshire Ave. about 9 a.m. Aug. 25, 2023, according to police testimony at his preliminary hearing.

Misti Ridgel told police she was on the couch watching TV and working on a computer when the car slammed into her home, police said.

Witnesses told police Woodley got out of the vehicle and walked away from the crash but was caught a short distance away, police said.

Woodley told police he had taken three Xanax pills, police said. He also had a methamphetamine pipe in the car, police said.
