The Orange County Transportation Authority Sunday will implement a series of changes to its bus service throughout the county.
The agency will offer upgraded service to Cal State Fullerton as students return to campus this fall, officials said. The agency encouraged students to take advantage of a program allowing youths 6 to 18 years old to ride buses at no cost.
OCTA also offers programs to provide no-cost or reduced-fare bus service for college students as well.
The following changes were also set to be implemented:
— Route 30 will be realigned to serve Los Cerritos Center via Gridley Road, Artesia Boulevard and Studebaker Road to help connect routes between Orange and Los Angeles counties;
— Route 57 service will be extended to Cal State Fullerton via State College Boulevard and Chapman and Commonwealth avenues;
— Route 64 will be updated to serve the Goldenwest Transportation Center via Bolsa Avenue, Goldenwest Street, McFadden Avenue and Gothard Street;
— Route 86 will serve the Families Forward nonprofit at 8 Thomas in Irvine.
Multiple other routes will transition from summer to fall schedules.
