Two people died Saturday evening when a Riverside County sheriff’s deputy responding to a collision was involved in another collision in Jurupa Valley.
The fatal crash, which appeared to also involve an Amazon delivery van and a car, was reported at 7:34 p.m. on Van Buren Boulevard at 56th Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A report from the scene indicated two people died but not a Riverside deputy, the CHP said. Two other people were taken to a hospital.
Van Buren Boulevard was closed between Jurupa Road and Limonite Avenue for the investigation, the CHP said.
