A motorcyclist escaped serious injury Wednesday in a solo crash on Interstate 10 in Banning.
The crash was reported just after 1 p.m. on the eastbound 1-10, east of 22nd Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officer Matt Napier said the rider suffered injuries described as minor and was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs for treatment.
Two of the interstate’s four eastbound lanes were blocked immediately following the crash, but were reopened within about 20 minutes.
