Riverside County firefighters extinguished a stubborn house fire Saturday in Indio that killed an animal and left three adults and a juvenile displaced.
The blaze inside a home in the 46000 block of Linda Flora was reported at 6:05 p.m., according to Cal Fire Riverside.
The fire in the home spread to the attic in a neighboring home, Cal Fire reported.
The flames were contained around 8:05 p.m., Cal fire reported.
One person was transported to a hospital for possible smoke inhalation, the department reported.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
