A nearly 10-acre wildfire burning in an unincorporated area south of Banning was 60% contained Sunday.

The fire was reported at 10:50 a.m. near Old Banning Idyllwild Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

County firefighters were attacking the blaze from the air and ground with help from U.S. Forest Service and Morongo fire crews.

One firefighter was hospitalized for heat-related illness considered non-life threatening, fire officials said.
