Heat from a seven-acre brush fire damaged homes in Jurupa Valley Saturday.

The fire was reported at 5:52 p.m. in the 8000 block of Mission Boulevard, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

It was originally described as two acres burning slowly in light flashy fuels, fire officials said.

The forward rate of spread was stopped at seven acres, with “multiple homes in the immediate area” sustaining heat damage, fire officials said.

Firefighters remained in the area to finish putting out hot spots, officials aid.

No injuries were reported.
