It took 15 firefighters about 30 minutes Saturday evening to put out a 1/4-acre vegetation fire at what was described by a fire official as the “Old Boy Scout Camp” in Riverside.
The fire was reported at 6:21 p.m. at 4600 Mission Inn Ave., according to Riverside Fire Department Battalion Chief Mike Allen.
The flames were out at 6:51 p.m., leaving firefighters to look for and put out hot spots, Allen said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation, he said.
No injuries were reported.
