A man was killed Wednesday in a single-vehicle collision in Norco, authorities said.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said it received a report of the crash, near the intersection of Norco Hills Road and Valley Drive, at 2:11 a.m. Wednesday.
Deputies arrived to find the man ejected from the vehicle with life-threatening injuries. He was later declared dead at the scene, officials said.
An investigation revealed the driver was traveling eastbound on Norco Hills Road and collided with a brick column, authorities said.
The intersection near the wreck was closed during the investigation but has since reopened.
The cause of the crash was under investigation, and the identity of the victim was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
