The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County resumed increasing Wednesday, rising four-tenths of a cent to $4.63, one day after a 13-day streak of increases totaling 11.1 cents ended when it was unchanged.
The average price is 5.8 cents shy of matching the record high of $4.688 set on Oct. 8, 2012, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The 2012 figures included stations in San Bernardino County.
The average price is at its highest amount since Oct. 15, 2012, and 2.3 cents more than one week ago, 17 cents higher than one month ago and $1.533 greater than one year ago.
