Tires, furniture, appliances, bundled tree limbs and electronic waste are among the items that can be discarded during the collection event from 8 a.m. to noon at the Indio Hills Community Center at 80-400 Dillon Road.
Only nine tires are allowed per trip and residents will need to unload their waste from their vehicle. Face coverings and six feet of social distancing will be required.
The free event hosted by the Riverside County Department of Waste Resources is open to all county residents, but only waste from households, not businesses, will be accepted.
Hazardous materials such as batteries, pool chemicals, brake fluids, paint and fluorescent light bulbs will not be accepted.
Anyone who wishes to dispose of such hazardous waste can do so at the county facility in Palm Springs, at 1100 Vella Road, which is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
Additional information can be found at rcwaste.org or by calling 951-486-3200.
