One person was killed and a second seriously injured Friday in a traffic crash in Whitewater.
According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the crash occurred around 7 a.m. on the eastbound 10 Freeway near Highway 62 in Whitewater. The circumstances of the crash were not immediately available, although the seriously injured patient had to be extricated from the wreckage, fire officials said.
It was unclear how many vehicles were involved, and the cause was unknown.
