The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped Thursday to its lowest amount since New Year’s Eve, 2022, decreasing three-tenths of a cent to $4.363.

The average price has dropped nine of the past 10 days, decreasing 10.3 cents, including a half-cent Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It dropped four consecutive days, rose two-tenths of a cent Saturday and resumed dropping Sunday.

The average price is 4.3 cents less than one week ago, 17.4 cents lower than month ago and 4.9 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $2.01 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price rose six-tenths of a cent to $3.102, the third consecutive increase after a four-day streak of decreases totaling 1.7 cents. It has risen 2.5 cents over the past three days, including 1.2 cents Wednesday.

The national average price is eight-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, but 2.5 cents less than one month ago and 37.9 cents lower than one year ago. It has dropped $1.914 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
