The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County rose Saturday to its highest amount since Nov. 27, increasing nine-tenths of a cent to $4.823.

The average price has increased three consecutive days, rising 2 cents, including nine-tenths of a cent Friday, after back-to-back decreases totaling 1.1 cents, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 1 cent more than one week ago and 13.2 cents higher than one month ago, but 1.8 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.55 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price rose 1.7 cents to $3.455, its fourth consecutive increase. It rose two-tenths of a cent Wednesday, 1.6 cents Thursday and 2.6 cents Friday.

The national average price is 5.8 cents more than one week ago and 17.1 cents higher than one month ago, but nine-tenths of a cent less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.561 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
