An outage cut power Thursday to Imperial Irrigation District customers in Desert Hot Springs.
The utility alerted the public shortly before 4:30 p.m. Thursday that a power outage was affecting approximately 50 customers in the area. Although a troubleshooter was en route, an exact restoration time remained unknown.
Utility officials did not mention a cause, but they promised to provide further updates on the outage.
The IID provides electricity to more than 150,000 customers in parts of Riverside and San Diego counties, as well as all of Imperial County.
