The average price of a gallon of self-service regular gasoline in Riverside County rose one-tenth of a cent Monday to $4.442, ending a streak of five consecutive days of decreases.
The average price has dropped 2.9 cents over the past six days, including three-tenths of a cent Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The decreases follow a run of 11 increases in 12 days totaling 7.9 cents.
The average price is 2.3 cents less than one week ago, 1.9 cents lower than one month ago and $1.012 below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $1.931 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped for the fifth consecutive day, decreasing two-tenths of a cent to $3.175. It has dropped 2.9 cents over the past five days, including six-tenths of a cent Sunday.
The national average price is 2.8 cents less than one week ago, 3.9 cents lower than one month ago and 37.9 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $1.841 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
