The average price of a gallon of self-service regular gasoline in Riverside County ticked up one-tenth of a cent Sunday to $4.413, after dropping 10 times in the previous 11 days.
The average price is 2.8 cents less than one week ago, 1.3 cents less than one month ago and 89.5 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.96 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
“We are entering the time of year when gasoline demand typically drops, and on Nov. 1, Southern California gas stations will be allowed to sell the winter-blend gasoline which is cheaper to produce and less expensive for consumers,” said Doug Shupe, the Automobile Club of Southern California’s corporate communications manager.
The national average price dropped for the 11th consecutive day, decreasing six-tenths of a cent to $3.13. It is 4.7 cents less than one week ago, 9.3 cents less than a month ago and 38.8 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.886 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
