The average price of a gallon of self-service regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped nine-tenths of a cent Thursday to $4.33, a day after dropping 1 cent.
The average price has dropped nine of the past 10 days, decreasing 5.1 cents, including ix-tenths of a cent Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It dropped six consecutive days, rose four-tenths of a cent Monday and resumed decreasing Tuesday.
The average price is 3.2 cents less than one week ago, 13.5 cents lower than one month ago and 66.2 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $2.043 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price of a gallon of gas was unchanged at $3.084, a day after rising six-tenths of a cent. The national average price is 2.2 cents less than one week ago, 15.3 cents lower than one month ago and 26.9 cents below what it was one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.932 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
