The average price of a gallon of self-service regular gasoline in Riverside County inched up one-tenth of a cent Sunday to $4.326, one day after dropping three-tenths of a cent to its lowest amount since Dec. 29, 2022.
The average price had dropped 11 of the past 12 days, decreasing 5.6 cents, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 2.5 cents less than one week ago, 13.1 cents less than one month ago and 62.8 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $2.047 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped six-tenths of a cent for the second consecutive day, to $3.072. It is 1.3 cents less than one week ago, 12.4 cents less than one month ago and 26.1 cents less than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.944 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
