An 11-day streak of decreases that dropped the average price of a gallon of self-service regular gasoline in Riverside County to its lowest amount since Dec. 24, 2022, ended Thursday with an increase of two-tenths of a cent to $4.281.

The average price dropped 5.6 cents during the streak, including one-tenth of a cent Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 2.3 cents less than one week ago, 6.8 cents lower than one month ago and 37.2 cents below what it was one year ago.

The average price has dropped $2.092 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price rose for the second consecutive day after a run of 12 decreases in 13 days totaling 6.2 cents, rising six-tenths of a cent to $3.026. It is six-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 5.2 cents lower than one month ago and 11.1 cents below what it was one year ago.

The national average price has dropped $1.99 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
