A two vehicle collision in La Quinta Thursday hospitalized three patients.
The crash was first reported at 7:25 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Airport Boulevard and Monroe Street, according to a Riverside County Fire Department statement.
Firefighters reached the area to discover two people with “moderate injuries” and one with “major injuries,” according to the statement.
All three were transported by ambulance to a local hospital. From there, the situation was turned over to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
