The Riverside County Office of Education will host a holiday-themed “Winter Wonderland” event Saturday for unhoused foster youth or those at risk of experiencing homelessness.
The four-hour event, taking place at the Don F. Kenny Regional Learning Center at 9 a.m. Saturday, includes a free meal and gift giveaways for children, according to an Office of Education spokesperson.
There will also be games, arts and crafts and community resources for attendees.
“These events represent an opportunity to wrap our community’s collective arms around students who are deserving of positive reinforcement, loving kindness and a fresh reminder of the importance of hope for the future,” county Superintendent of Schools Dr. Edwin Gomez said in a statement.
