Four NCAA Division I hockey teams will take the ice in the Coachella Valley Friday for the opening of the inaugural Cactus Cup.
Michigan Tech, University of Nebraska-Omaha, Holy Cross and UMass-Lowell will come to Acrisure Arena to compete in the two-day tournament on Friday and Saturday.
The opening game will feature Michigan Tech (10-6-2) and UMass-Lowell (10-4-2), followed by a showdown between Holy Cross (8-9-1) and University of Nebraska-Omaha (7-9-0). Saturday’s matches will pit the losers and winners of each match against each other.
Puck drop on Friday’s first contest is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Tickets are valid for both games on one of the two days and can be purchased at ticketmaster.com/coachella-valley-cactus-cup-2025-day-palm-desert-california-01-03-2025/event/0A006084CE3645B2.
